QAZAQ AIR airline celebrates its 9th anniversary since its foundation. On August 27, 2015 the airline made its first commercial flight and since the first days of flights the main task of the airline has been to increase the availability of interregional air service in Kazakhstan and border areas of neighboring countries.
One of the peculiarities of the airline’s activity is the social orientation of routes: QAZAQ AIR often performs the role of the only carrier on routes where the jet fleet of large air carriers does not have the technical ability to fly or insufficient level of passenger traffic for economic efficiency. Over the years, QAZAQ AIR has expanded its route network to 24 destinations, introduced 9 unique routes, which are not flown by any other air carrier. And every year new flights and airports appear in the geography of the airline’s flights.
For 9 years the airplanes of QAZAQ AIR under the control of experienced pilots, who have many years of practice and unique experience in performing flights, have carried more than 3.6 million passengers and performed a total of more than 61 thousand flights.
Among other achievements over the past years, it is important to note: the launch of its own aviation training center, the launch of its own aircraft line maintenance station, certification according to international standards of industrial safety IOSA, and the introduction of its own passenger loyalty program IQ Bonus in 2020. In 2023-2024, QAZAQ AIR was repeatedly awarded by the international Skytrax award, which is known for its independent assessment of service quality in the aviation industry. QAZAQ AIR has been successfully certified by IOSA international operational safety standards for 7 years.
In May 2024, at the past Kazakh-Singapore Business Forum, an agreement was signed between Kazakhstan and Vietnam on privatization of Qazaq Air. At the moment, the process of privatization of the airline is underway. In the near future, the airline expects to expand the air fleet by obtaining new types of aircraft, expanding the geography of flights and increasing passenger traffic. Also QAZAQ AIR expects to increase the number of jobs and staff qualification, as well as the introduction of new technologies and innovations due to the long-term experience of the investor.
