Domestic air carrier QAZAQ AIR organized a professionally oriented excursion on board the airline’s aircraft. 35 children school age became participants of the first career-oriented excursion.
During the event the young excursionists visited the hangar, where there was a modern turboprop aircraft QAZAQ AIR – De Havilland Dash-8-Q400NG. Schoolchildren were met by the commander of the aircraft of the airline – Yernazarov Anuarbek, who told the children about the profession and his work, about how to learn the profession of a pilot, and how QAZAQ AIR pilots are trained and maintain on a permanent basis piloting skills. After the story the children had an opportunity to sit in the pilot’s seat and take memorable photos with Anuarbek Yernazarov.
Then the leading engineer of QAZAQ AIR Timur Kaftaranov gave the children a fascinating sightseeing tour around the airplane, introducing the children to important aviation instruments and sensors, showing the heart of the airplane – the engine, how and where the luggage is loaded and many other interesting details.
«I was very surprised to learn that the airplane’s engines are mounted on each wing and each engine has a power output of 5,000 horsepower. I also learned how the fuel for the flight is calculated and where it is poured. It turns out that you need a lot of it», the guys said enthusiastically.
The story about the work of Alina Kamal, a flight attendant, did not leave the guys indifferent. The excursionists learned that the profession of a steward is not only organizing meals for passengers, but also providing first aid if necessary, ensuring safety on board. Also Alina shared the story of where she was trained for the profession of a flight attendant and the advantages of her work.
«The excursion was organized with the aim of introducing children to the world of aviation and forming interest in aviation professions. Such events undoubtedly expand the range of interests of the younger generation and will help in choosing their path and professional vocation», – noted in the press service.
Young guests at the end of the excursion received memorable gifts and were delighted to visit the aircraft of QAZAQ AIR. The airline plans to continue the cycle of career guidance excursion programs for children school age from all over Kazakhstan.
