On May 28, the Samruk Marathon race dedicated to the 15th anniversary of JSC “Samruk-Kazyna” took place in the Triathlon Park of Astana. An athletics event dedicated to the International Children’s Day was organized for the employees’ children.
More than 1,000 employees from 22 companies belonging to the Samruk-Kazyna Group of companies, including 17 employees of QAZAQ AIR, took part in the sports festival. The competitions were held at distances of 5 and 10 km . About 100 children of employees took part in the 1-kilometer children’s marathon.
It should be noted that a month before the marathon, the participants gathered every Sunday for training at the Triathlon Park and prepared for the competition.
At a distance of 10 km, the 1st place in the category over 50 years old was won by the dispatcher of the Flight Support Department of the Flight Organization Department Gabit Shaimerdenov.
Gabit Shaimerdenov:
“Such sports events not only strengthen health, but also raise corporate spirit. Today I felt the sincere support of my colleagues, for which I am sincerely grateful to them. I believe that sport should be an integral part of everyone’s life. A healthy nation is a sign of a strong state,” he said.
